Moose River Plains is part of the Adirondack Forest Preserve in New York State. It boasts an area of nearly 80,000 acres consisting of low-lying valleys, mountains, creeks, and more. Lime Kiln Lake-Cedar River Road, also known as Moose River Plains Road, takes you from near Inlet, NY to near the community of Indian Lake, NY. Along the way you will find numerous established and marked hiking trails (approx. 130 miles), ponds, lakes and more than 120 FREE USE primitive campsites (116 are roadside).
